Where is the exhibition?
The exhibition is located on the ground floor of the film museum Potsdam.

How much is the entrance fee?
Tickets cost 3.50 / reduced 2.50 Euros. Free admission for children under the age of 6.

How big is the exhibition?
The size of the exhibition hall is about 450 sqm.

How many exhibits are on display?
Approximately 500 original items as well as 750 copies and enlargements are on display:
- 220 objects (costumes, props, models, etc.)
- 60 books and scripts (plus 3 books for visitor use)
- 30 programmes, newspapers, magazines
- 80 production sketches, documents (approx. 150 as copies)
- 20 original photographs, 250 enlargements

Which exhibits are of special value?
- school desk from the film "Die Feuerzangenbowle" (1944)
- treatment of the first DEFA film "Die Mörder sind unter uns" (1946), written in 1945
- costume from the film "Die Buntkarierten" (1949)
- wig worn by DEFA western star Gojko Mitic in "Spur des Falken" (1968)
- copy of Francisco de Goya′s painting "Manuel Osorio de Zuniga" painted by DEFA artist Alfred Born, 1970
- sniper rifle used by Jude Law in "Enemy at the Gates" (2002)
- two Silver Berlin Bears – awards of Berlin film festival "Berlinale" – awarded to actress Katrin Saß for "Bürgschaft für ein Jahr" (1982) and to director Andreas Dresen for "Halbe Treppe" (2003)
Of course, each visitor will find his / her own favourite pieces!

How many film clips run in the exhibition?
- 16 clips from Bioscop and Ufa films
- 50 clips from DEFA films
- 7 clips from Studio Babelsberg films
- 4 montages made from documentary footage on contemporary history 1945 - 1990
Playing time of the clips: 3 to 5 minutes.

Which facts does the computer-based information system supply?
The system is a database with more than a million entries on German history, studio history, 3000 Babelsberg films and more than 150 actors who worked in Babelsberg. In addition, it contains more than 2000 photographs and other documents. The entries are partly available in English. The database is extended and maintained permanently.

Who conceived and designed the exhibition?
Head of the project was Museum Director Dr. Bärbel Dalichow.
The curators′ team consisted of the museum′s employees Guido Altendorf, Renate Schmal and Svea Lang.
The design of the exhibition, information system and exhibition poster was created by "blotto design", Berlin, managed by Prof. Heike Grebin.
The software for the information system was developed by "the co.de", Berlin. Editing was done by Dr. Peter Warnecke.

Who realised the concept?
The interior setting was built at the Art Department of Studio Babelsberg.
