In this collection, not only costumes from various films are kept but also garments which have been worn privately by different stars. Outstanding pieces include the original dress from
Das Herz der Königin, worn by
Zarah Leander, costumes from
Der Eisenhans or
Gritta von Rattenzuhausbeiuns and from more recent productions like
Sonnenallee or
Halbe Treppe. We also keep a shoe from Nina Hagen and a beret worn by director Falk Harnack.

The collection is complemented by several masks, e.g., from
Novalis – Die blaue Blume. In order to be able to fully document a make-up artist′s work, hairpieces, wigs and similar items are stored as well. Meanwhile, various busts and casts of famous actors form a small stock of their own, among them a mask of
Asta Nielsen, a bronze bust of Paul Wegener and a plaster bust of Heinz Rühmann.
