The topic of the exhibition was artists′ portraits. After the specific perspectives on film and TV actors of established photographers like Günter Linke, the works of a young colleague were now presented. Sandra Bergemann, a graduate in photo design, convinced a considerable number of former GDR actors to trust in her photographic abilities. "The portraits that emerged this way were shot in an environment selected by the artists, a place they were familiar with. I wanted to show them as normal people, not in the staged way stars are usually presented today. My main goal is to make audiences remember the people and the films that entertained and influenced them." Thus, faces from very different generations could be found in the exhibition: Helga Göring and Jörg Schüttauf, Herbert Köfer and Karin Düwel, Eberhard Esche and Jutta Wachowiak. Personal comments of the artists on the decisive moments in their careers that were collected in interviews led by journalist Christoph Lemke complemented the protraits. This symbiosis of photographic works of art and the statements of the protrayed artists created a demanding show that required careful observation.
