From the inimitable smile to the outburst of fury: there is no oh-so human emotion that didn′t make it to the cinema screen. However, things get especially exciting when two persons are involved – a never-ending story of its own ...
The "love line-ups" from more than 700 DEFA films alone would fill volumes. We have roamed some decades of film and tried to find those couples and stories that were "symptomatic" of their respective times. The compilation finally revealed a change – a perspective with an appeal of its own.
